what to do about Work

I’ve mulled a lot about work. W would probably call it by a different name, perhaps complaints. ha

What I’ve concluded today is that each person is motivated by completely different objectives. Some are motivated by forward thinking – wanting to take the company to the next level, some are motivated purely by financial goals, some are motivated by the social aspect, some are motivated by their family/personal needs. While I understood this conceptually (Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, anyone?) I’ve never tried to apply the idea when analyzing my work’s group dynamics.

Unfortunately for me, incorporating this idea while feeling powerless to change the dynamics has left me feeling quite demoralized. In fact, I think that I’ve been in a mild state of depression over this idea. It’s been a challenge to come out of this idea, to say the least, with gusto and energy. I don’t know how to solve this problem that I seemed to have created within myself.
